Solumedrol 30 mg/kg then 5.4 mg/kg/hr x 23 additional hours if given within 3 hours of injury or 47 hours if given between 3 and 8 hours.
Place 30 mg/kg in 150 cc NS and give IV over 15 minutes (set pump to 600 cc/hr, volume to be infused 150 cc)
If protocol started at <3 hours from time of injury:
Mix 124 mg/kg in 1000 cc NS
Run pump at 43 cc/hr for 23 hours, with volume to be infused-989 cc/hr
If protocol started at 3-8 hours from time of injury:
Mix 254 mg/kg in 1000 cc NS
Run pump at 21 cc/hr for 47 hours, with volume to be infused-987 cc
